Description
Company name: Calm Mind Hypnotherapy
With an extensive background in writing, marketing and communications, Therese has always understood the transformational power of words and of the importance of connecting with other people’s innermost feelings, thoughts and emotions, tapping into their views, desires, hopes and aspirations.
These skills transfer exceptionally well to hypnotherapy as hypnosis techniques rely heavily on the power of words, suggestion, emotions and resulting actions.
Therese first became interested in hypnotherapy when at the age of 14, her son developed severe anxiety which affected his ability to attend school. This led to the most difficult two years a parent could face not knowing what was going on or how to best help her child get well. In the search for help, Therese witnessed first-hand the diagnositic power of hypnotherapy in being able to pinpoint the problem, completely understand and validate the anxiety, then dislodge it, lessening it’s hold on the individual or removing it altogether.
With that understanding, a door opened to a new and very rewarding hypnotherapy practice targetted towards children of school age (as understandably, Therese is passionate about offering a solution to families who are struggling with their child’s mental health).
Therese first studied with world renowned Hypnotist Tim Box and became a CONTROL System Practitioner and then studied for Diploma level certification with the incredible Jacquin Hypnosis Academy.
Therese is highly experienced in dealing with issues faced by school children such as friendship issues, bullying, cyber bullying, problems with teachers, attendance, overwhelm, noise sensitivity, feelings of low self-esteem, lack of self-confidence, poor self-image, exam pressure, COVID absences and more.
Therese has now helped dozens of children to re-enage with their education and feel better about themselves.
Therese also works with adults and has successfully dealt with insomnia, phobias, public-speaking, OCD, relationship issues, past trauma, teeth grinding, health anxiety and more.
